Jazz Fridays at the Fairfield Museum are back! Every Friday in August, music lovers are invited to kick off their weekends at these free concerts held on the Museum Commons. Bring your own picnic and blankets/chairs and join us for a wonderful evening.

In the case of inclement weather, concerts will be cancelled and the Fairfield Museum will make every effort to reschedule the performance. Please check the Fairfield Museum website (www.fairfieldhistory.org) for weather-related updates.

The Brian Torff Group, a collective dedicated to revitalizing the essence of American music. Their fusion of Blues and Jazz with Country, Rock, and Pop creates a vibrant sonic landscape that resonates with audiences on a profound level. Led by Brian Torff, a guitarist and vocalist whose work delves deep into the evolution of American music, they are committed to showcasing the critical role of Black Music in shaping our nation’s cultural identity. Through their performances, they aim to illuminate the enduring legacy of Blues and Jazz while celebrating the diverse influences that have shaped American music, including Country, Rock, and Pop.

In addition to musical presentations, they offer cultural programming that delves into the historical and social context of our music. These presentations provide insight into the profound impact of Black Music on American culture, offering a deeper understanding of our shared heritage.
