Connecticut has been home to incredible writers and journalists. In honor of Women’s History Month, join the Louisa Iacurci, Education Manager at Connecticut Women’s Hall of Fame, to explore the contributions of remarkable women who have shaped our understanding of the world through their writing and reporting, including Helen Keller, Lydia Huntley Sigourney, Harriet Beecher Stowe, Charlotte Perkins Gilman, Clare Boothe Luce, Ann Petry, Margaret Bourke-White, Adrianne Baughns-Wallace, Jane Hamilton Merritt, Anne Garrels, Jane Pauley, and Annie Leibovitz.

About the Speaker
Louisa Iacurci is the Education Manager at Connecticut Women’s Hall of Fame. She has a Masters In Education from American University in Washington, D.C. Her 30 years of teaching experience ranges from kindergarten through adults. This experience includes both public and private school systems. Louisa has a passion for teaching and volunteers for the Literacy Volunteers of Valley Shore, teaching English as a second language to adults. She enjoys bringing amazing women’s stories to life and encouraging all learners to be intrinsically motivated to love learning everyday! Louisa resides in Madison, CT and loves CT history, especially women’s history!
