Drop-in Drawing on the Museum Commons

Instructor Ival Stratford Kovner (MS, MFA) will share techniques for drawing outdoors during this free drop-in program. All ages and levels of experience are welcome. Materials will be provided. Co-sponsored by the Fairfield County Plein Air Painters.

Visitors can also explore all of the historic properties and try hands-on activities on the Museum Commons, home of the Fairfield Museum. More than 400 years of diverse stories can be found in the Victorian Barn, Sun Tavern, and Victorian Cottage, which has a dedicated early childhood space.

Donations are welcome.

About the Instructor

Ival Stratford Kovner’s career encompasses decades teaching students of all ages. Her favorite approach has been to paint with her students en plein air. She has won numerous awards and she has had solo exhibitions at Blue Mountain Gallery in Chelsea and a recent retrospective exhibition at Gloria Cachion Art Gallery.
