Birds & History with Connecticut Audubon

Celebrate Connecticut Audubon’s 125^th anniversary year with a bird walk at historic Oak Lawn Cemetery, led by Milan Bull, Connecticut Audubon’s senior director of science and conservation. Nesting season will be underway. Expect to see and hear Baltimore Orioles, Scarlet Tanagers, Red-eyed Vireos, and many other songbirds. The group will also learn about Mabel Osgood Wright and others buried at Oak Lawn. Then, join us for light refreshments and a chance to explore the c. 1750 Ogden House.

Mabel Osgood Wright was a leading conservationist of the era, a founder of Connecticut Audubon, and the organization’s president for 26 years.

Space is limited. Advanced registration is required. $10 for Fairfield Museum Members; $15 for Non-Members.

• Meet at the entrance gate at Oak Lawn Cemetery, located at 1530 Bronson Road. Parking is available at Oak Lawn Cemetery.
• Please bring your own binoculars.
• Please dress for the weather and wear comfortable shoes. We will be walking for extended periods, mostly on paved roads throughout the cemetery.
• No refunds will be offered unless the program is cancelled by the Fairfield Museum.
